About the event

ARTIFEX originated from the Latin Word - Artific; practitioner of art

‘ARTIFEX’ is the first ever animation fest in the whole of MAHE. It was started by the Animation Department under School of Communication, MAHE.

The fest focuses on the evolution of animation and pleasing aesthetics of any art form; traditional or modern.

The intention behind starting ‘ARTIFEX’ was to spread awareness about animation and everything that comes under it, to make students relive their childhood by letting them know about how their favourite animated cartoons and movies evolved, using different types of animation.

The students of the animation department wanted to reach out to the students around MAHE, tell them about the crux of animation, video games, augmented reality and film-making.

Chapter - 1 was highly concentrated upon getting students from local schools and grabbing their interest into the very basics of animation through workshops; traditional animation, augmented reality and script-writing. Alongside competitions and fun activities.

A 3-day fest, comprising of guest lectures, workshops, gaming events and a cosplay night.

The fest is streamlined, with each day having a specific motive, that is to be followed

Why should you sponsor?

The only kind of event in the history of the college. Helps educate the local school-children about a great career option, vocation, way of life and works the same for the hundreds expected from the sibling colleges under the university. The fest focuses on the evolution of animation and pleasing aesthetics of any art form; traditional or modern. Innocent little children coming up with bright futures ahead of them, showing up with empty minds ready to embrace everything taught about Animation and other Art forms in the fest. The second most beloved thing about the event is the Cosplay event on the final day of the fest.

The School Of Communication (SOC), MAHE Was Established In The Year 1997 By Sir. MV Kamath. The College Offers Both BA In Media And Communication And BSc. In Animation. Before Coming To Manipal Campus 4 Years Ago, This Course Was Based In Bangalore Campus.
