About the event

Today in Oklahoma we see a lot of our music revolving around the hip-hop genre. Due to social distancing, there have not been many opportunities for our R&B artists to perform and showcase new music. After the success of our event in 2021, we decided to host an event to showcase new R&B music April 30,2022 at Skyline on Bricktown Canal. We hosted our first R&B unplugged event January 16, 2016, at The Bryant Center where we had a crowd of 250 supporters. From the success of that event, we have held several events that were geared toward music and community support. Last year we hosted April showers and the event was very successful and our turn out was over 200 in attendance. We have also assisted in sending artists all around the country to perform alongside major celebrities as well as network with major labels. Our previous events were independently funded, and we had sponsors who offered prizes and promotions for our various competitions. This year we intend to have a Celebrity host to increase the overall success of our event and broaden the coverage of the brands and artists involved in this event.

Dominique Jamelle is anaspiring actor, singer/song writer, producer and fashion designer. He comes from a musical family where music is used in all aspects. He began his love for music being exposed to artists such as Prince, Michael Jackson, Roger & Zapp and many more.

Dominique has been focused on developing a great writing style that separates him from many of today's R&B artists but also remaining relevant. Dominique released his first solo single "Jungle of Love" in 2011. Since that release he has gone on to be featured on many independent artist projects, writing and producing some of the music. Dominique has also been trained in various genres of dance which gives him many cultural advances beyond many of the artists of our time.

Dominique likes to stay busy and active. He alsostarted a men's clothing line dedicated to bringing class to our younger generation. He has sponsored male step teams and graduating seniors with classy clothing to spark interest and has gained a growing interest in the #TeamClean movement.

Dominique is currently pursing many opportunities in music, fashion, and film that will hopefully bridge the gap between Oklahoma artists and the music industry today. The story has just begun stay tuned as it unfolds.
