The Highs and Lows of Still Single

A lot of people feel that being in a relationship is the breeding ground of emotional baggage that can hamper the progress of an individual and basically pulls you back in life. This statement might seem crude, but contemporary thought processes operate in a different way and with each passing day, the mindset keeps on changing to accommodate new ideas about relationships.

The dating game…

That doesn’t mean relationships have become non-existent! Couples date, some eventually move in, while others get married and have kids. However, those who are still single and relish their status, often cringe when the people they are currently seeing want to take things to the next level. Suddenly the fun factor disappears – it is no longer about being casual, because one of them isn’t at the same point anymore. That is when you realize that the relationship has actually run its course.

Yes the idea exists!

In the 21^st century, both genders are able to sustain no-strings attached relationships with ease, but in a deep (perhaps deeper for some) part of their subconscious they are always searching for the “ONE”. Even though they will deny this till they are blue in the face, people who ardently swore to never be in a relationship change their views when the “ONE” comes along. Until then, it remains a faceless, nameless entity!

What is love?

Of course, it isn’t a total cakewalk – the road to happiness is filled with bumps and speed breakers! For instance, the appearance of the dreaded “L” word – LOVE – usually complicates stuff for most individuals, who are unwilling to acknowledge they have fallen hard and fast. That is the beauty of a real relationship – once you get over the initial apprehension, it makes you think and feel differently, and everything seems to be going your way. The common expression used by many is “floating in air”.

The TV show, Still Single, charts the journey of two wild, free-spirited guys with hearts of gold – Doc and Rah Rah, who want to enjoy singlehood, but have firm plans in place when they meet that special someone. While Doc wishes for family someday, divorce hasn’t deterred Rah Rah at all. From the sunny climes of Tampa these former military guys wish to experience a no-holds barred life, with a lot of passion, grit, and motivation. So what are you waiting for?
