About the event
The 5v5 USA 5-A-Side Soccer Shootouts are part of a statewide series of small sided soccer tournaments. Registration is open to boys/girls teams from age 9 through adults. Local tournaments average 500+ players on site for the one day event, with total attendance, including spectators, averaging 1500-2000. Because the entire event is completed in one day, players and spectators are a captive audience, and remain on site from start to finish. Games typically run from 8 am until 6pm on Saturday.
These events typically draw more than 25% of their attendance from teams that are traveling more than an hour from their homes. As such, they stay in area hotels, dine in local hotels, and frequent businesses in the town hosting the event.
For the summer 2016 series, local tournaments will be held in the following areas: Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Lubbock, and the Texas Valley. The season will conclude with a two day state championship in Central Texas.
Event sponsors who are interested in face to face time with the public, are invited to set up booths onsite at these events, where they can interact and promote their products or services to the attendees. Sponsors can choose to be involved in one local event or the entire season of tournaments, which will consist of seven tournaments between June and August, 2016. Sponsor who do not wish to be on site during the events, can opt to have event staff handle giveaways of sample products etc.
