My name is LaTala Cofield, also known as Ife Adebowale or Doula Ife in the community of Columbus, GA. I am the founder, owner, and director of Cherishing Life Beginnings. I am writing to request your participation as a sponsor/partnership in an upcoming 2023 event. Cherishing Life Beginnings Doula and Birth Educational Services, LLC & Cherishing Life Beginnings Doula Academy, Inc. has partnered with doulas, birthworkers, and community members to create our 2nd Annual Ancestral Starseed Celebration in honor of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. This event will be held on October 7, 2023 from 2:00pm-6:00pm at The Arts of Yoga Studio, 4924 Armour Road, Unit A. We are expecting approximately 50-65 members from throughout the Columbus metro and surrounding area to be in attendance.
Cherishing Life Beginnings Doula Academy, Inc. (CLB), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. The mission of Cherishing Life Beginnings Doula Academy, Inc. is to service the community by providing free and/or low cost childbirth services, scholarships for holistic doula certification birth training, mentorship programs, and events for expectant mothers and their families, single and young mothers, and mothers and families that have experienced child loss. To do this, we must bring awareness to the needs of doulas and other birthworkers, address maternal problems and find creative ways to solve them, and celebrate the victories and triumphs of the journeys of pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. The purpose of this event is to honor our families by celebrating the LIFE of their transitioned child/children (ancestral starseed) and/or Mother Earth, motivate and pour into them through story sharing, amazing guest speakers that will discuss how to turn tragedy into victory, and provide experts to share information & resources on transitional loss because too often, these individuals suffer in silence, deal with depression, and feel no one understands. On this day, we want to honor these families and support them.
