About the event
At Albany Knickerbocker Rugby Club, we are proud to not only encompass a competitive men's team, women's team, and 'old boys' and 'old girls' teams, but we also provide rugby opportunities for youth in Albany, NY and the Capital Region through outreach to local community groups, schools, and clubs. Our goal is to introduce young people to the sport of rugby, while also promoting teamwork, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle.
This year, we are actively seeking businesses within our community to partner with us and support our efforts to provide rugby opportunities for youth in Albany. We believe that your company will be an excellent fit for such a partnership, and we would be honored to discuss any potential sponsorship opportunities with you. In return, we would publicly announce any partnership with your business to our Club members and affiliates, including advertisements on our website, various social media platforms and custom advertising opportunities during special rugby events and competitions.
Why should you sponsor?
As a 501(c)3 organization, we rely heavily on membership dues to cover our operating costs, including youth promotion and outreach, coaching, equipment, field & facility maintenance at Dick Green Field located in Albany. However, we are seeking opportunities to further support and expand our youth outreach programs and to promote the sport of rugby in the Capital Region. By partnering with us as an official sponsor, your company can help us to provide more resources to local youth, including new equipment, clinics, coaching staff, and other similar expenses.
Darryl ViscusiMy name is Darryl Viscusi and I am the Vice President of the Albany Knickerbocker Rugby Football Club, located in Albany, NY.
This is now my second year serving as the VP for the Albany Knicks, being voted in to represent our club by both men and womens teams, as well as alumni, and entrusted to ensure the continuity of the clubs success.
I have been playing the sport of rugby since 2007 for local clubs and also for military teams during my time in the Marine Corps.
