In October of 2015 at a conference in Hot Springs Montana, Author Russ Acord, and myself, Ed Brown sat down and started planning the First Annual International Bigfoot Conference. While we didn’t agree on everything, the one thing we agreed on was, we had to create a conference with a purpose, and that purpose was to give up and coming researchers an opportunity to share the stage with some of the biggest names in the world of Bigfooting. We knew that if we could pull our resources together, we could create an event to rival the best ones out there. So we sat out to bringing in the speakers. We started with three up and comers; Kirk Brown from California, Misty Allabaugh from Montana, and Becky Cook from Idaho. While it is hard to call any of the “Up and Comers”, we were confident we had chosen three soon to be stars. We also wanted to have some personality, so my good friend Rictor Riolo agreed to join us to interact with the crowd. Then we started looking for the big names that would join them. I first talked to Stacy Brown Jr, and was delighted that he was all in. Then on the Derek Randles, Dr. Meldrum, Todd and Diane Neiss, Mitchel Townsend, Shane Corson and Gunnar Monson. But we weren’t done yet. We wanted some world renowned cryptologists, so I contacted Adam Davies, then Ken Gerhard and they were both completely on board. And while we won’t give their names just yet, we are pursuing three more legends in community to round out our list of speakers and guests.
Now we have all the speakers in place, we needed a venue to house this type of event. Russell quickly snagged up The Three Rivers Conference Center in Kennewick Washington, and we couldn’t be happier. We have a world class event center that can seat more than three thousand attendees while having plenty of space for all of our awesome vendors in a separate area. We wanted each and every guest who purchases a ticket have the option to sit in on any and all the speakers they want. The conference center will have concession stands available for our attendees.
The next step was entertainment during the event. While we strongly urge all our attendees to sit in and enjoy the star studded list of speakers, we also wanted to provide fun activities you can enjoy. We decided to hold classes to teach people how to make a cast print. While we would love to provide the Bigfoot, we thought it would be just as much fun to make a cast of your own foot as practice. So, for a nominal fee, you will have the opportunity to join researcher and co-founder Michael Cook for these fun filled classes, and even create a one of a kind souvenir from the event.
We, the co-founders of the International Bigfoot Conference, are so excited and pleased to bring you this event. We also want you to know we are listening, so please tell us if there is anything else you want to see at the event, and we will look into it.
