Empowered Hands, LLC. illuminates the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community’s highly adaptive and intelligent capabilities in the workforce. We highlight greater awareness of the exceptional work ethic our clients possess and develop with our strategic and supportive hands-on approach. Empowered Hands’ 10 Year Anniversary is hosting the Fashion and Art Showcase with Vi Yan Re, Co as a way to strategically promote deaf and hard of hearing artists and designers. It will be held Sunday , May 22, 2022 at Sanman Studios nestled in the EADO area of Houston. EADO,otherwise known as East Downtown, is the art & soul of the city and the perfect place for all genres to meet and socialize.

Empowered Hands has partnered with the designer of Vi Yan Re, Co to bring together a collective collaboration of deaf and hard of hearing artists and designers to showcase and exhibit their art and crafts.
Cyndi P ObasiVi Yan Re, Co was founded in Houston Tx, August 2017. Before 2017, I have had many interests in the arts and crafts led me to pursuits in fashion design. I hold a BA in Art with a minor in Architecture. As a hard of hearing individual, I have faced many challenges in becoming gainfully employed, and finally decided to draw up the courage to take a risk and open my own brand. Being hard of hearing, or “(“not-really”) “deaf” to the Deaf community, is a tall challenge with many obstacles and perceptions to overcome both from the hearing and fully deaf worlds; everything from conversations to education entails barriers that must be addressed.
After much difficulty and struggle, Vi Yan Re has been able to develop out-of-the-box means of reaching a happy zen. If Vi Yan Re, Co. will allow me to lead by example as a successful owner of my business and inspire others to follow suit, why not tackle it with full vigor?
