About the event
Young Entrepreneurs Conference, or commonly known as YEC, is one of GTA’s largest business and networking events of the year. It attracts thousands of students and industry professionals across Ontario, providing opportunities to connect, learn and showcase their problem solving skills in an interactive way.
Since its inception in 2011, the event has secured over 1,000 participants from 12 different schools and universities, while raising over $13,000 from our partners and sponsors.
With our effective work and community involvement, we have been fortunate to secure an impressive group of sponsors over the years, who have helped our increasingly ambitious goals manifest into reality through their generous financial and personnel support.
As a student-run organization, our goal is to grow the YEC conference each year. We plan to provide a multitude of participants an unforgettable professional and life experience. We are confident that this year, we will continue to surpass our goal given your kind support.
We are delighted to announce that we have already compiled an extremely talented and
experienced team to ensure the success of this event. We have also taken the initiative of beginning our marketing process that has proven to be overwhelmingly successful over the last 6 years. We are confident there will be a high number of participants and audience from various programs, levels and schools, who will be eager to experience a day of listening, learning and making valuable connections. We sincerely hope that you join us in this journey and see us as valuable partners for your organization.

Building Brand Awareness
YEC brings together around 200 attendees who are curious and willing to engage with numerous industry game changers. They are eager to discover new brands, opportunities and learn about your work. It is a great change to generate new leads on talents, showcase your accomplishments and promote the image of your organization.
Formerly known as the DEM Society, the DEM Association was founded in 2011, in order to represent the Digital Enterprise Management program offered exclusively at the University of Toronto Mississauga. Our mission is to empower, inspire, and serve students who have the passion for technology, business, marketing, design, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
The association aspires to build a space where students can continually grow with one another, and more importantly, bridge the gap between academia and the business world through workshops, keynotes and networking events, open to students in all programs and years.
