About the event

These events serve to promote Israeli and LGBTQ culture in hopes to build stronger allegiance between our communities in an effort to curb antisemitism and homophobia. We recognize that antisemitism has been on the rise and that there is a lot of misinformation within the LGBTQ community. This leads to strained relationships and has resulted in Jewish organizations being hesitant to involve themselves in LGBTQ events.

Our events allow everyone to participate and appreciate LGBTQ and Jewish culture in a safe, inclusive space. By bringing our communities together, it allows community organizations (Jewish and LGBTQ) from across Canada to participate in local events, thus reaching out to communities that may not have previously known about their programs.

The increased awareness helps LGBTQ Jews that previously felt disconnected from their community, reclaim their cultural identity and allows newcomers from Israel to create new connections. There is a lack of LGBTQ Jewish programs in Winnipeg, so our events address community needs.

Our organization engages in interfaith dialogue and outreach, thus bringing together people of all races, religions, sexual orientations, gender identity, etc.

By fostering better understanding within our communities, our goal is to lessen the frequency of antisemitism and homophobia within our communities.

Why should you sponsor?

Our events will reach all ages and demographics within Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada. Additionally, the Winnipeg Pride Festival is covered by local and national media.

Our targetted audience is the LGBTQ Community, the Jewish Community, and their allies within Manitoba.

Our audience this year will be approximately 41,000 people over the course of 4 events starting May 24 to June 3, 2018.

Sponsors will be listed featured on posters and flyers that will be handed out leading to the event. We will have a tent on the festival grounds where sponsors will be visibly listed and festival goers will be able to pick up your business cards and flyers.

During our Main Stage performance sponsors will be publicly thanked.
Sponsors will be able to attend our Pride week events, where they will be featured on screen and publicly thanked by our DJ and hosts. Tables will be available for your business cards and flyers.

Our company is heavily invested in social media and has a strong online presence. Sponsors will enjoy personalized ads that will make their contributions visible not only in Canada, but to our followers in the US, and Israel.

As we work with national charities, there is future opportunities for cooperation and recognition Canada wide.

Be’TLV is a registered Not-For-Profit organization that works directly with local and national charities, community organizations, and religious institutions.

Between 2017 to present, Be’TLV has helped us provide educational, cultural events and entertainment for a combined audience of over 900 people within the Jewish and LGBTQ communities over the course of 8 different events.

By the end of June, we will have hosted or partnered with an additional 6 events with a projected audience of over 40,000 as Be’TLV will be featured at the Winnipeg Pride Festival. Our events have been featured in several Jewish News Organizations across Canada and national media coverage. Our contingent won best float and best representatives of the theme of inclusiveness at the 2017 Winnipeg Pride Festival.

Our mission is to provide further opportunities for fun community events, educational sessions, outreach, and combat issues that face our communities, such as homophobia, transphobia, antisemitism, racism, sexism, and all forms of discrimination.
