  • About the event

    We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit performing arts organization.  We have been in existence for a little over a year and our mission is to positively impact the community by providing uplifting, entertaining shows and events to inspire appreciation for and participation in the arts.  

    We are primarily trying to reach the communities: Brooklyn Park, Glen Burnie and Northern Anne Arundel County.  There are many people in these communities who do not have as many opportunities or exposure to participate in thriving  communities. As part of our mission we also connect five core values.  They are: 1) performance excellence, 2) serving, 3) training, 4) giving and 5) celebrating diversity.  We are partially funded through a community arts grant from the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County and we are also a Theater-in-residence at the Chesapeake Arts Center in Brooklyn Park, MD.

    Some of our other sponsors for this event are Watermark Cruises, The Big TV Store and Hoyt's Cinema.

    We write to ask you to support our organization this year with a donation at our first annual fundraising gala.  This will be held on December 17, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Michael’s 8th Avenue in Glen Burnie, MD.  We are expecting 150 people to attend.

    We have had a great first year and we want to continue to serve individuals in our community.  The need is great with many youth needing a place to come to learn about and participate in arts activities. Our gala is to raise funds to continue our work with shows, youth training workshops, community discussions and community service.

    Why should you sponsor?

    This is a great cause!  Through this fundraiser, we will be able to continue to reach out to individuals in this community to produce the quality show and events.  Your donation will help us to touch lives with inspirational shows that bring positive messages.  With so much negativity around us, the arts is a great medium to provide individuals with a method of expression that is positive and productive. 


    Angela Wilson

    My name is Angela Wilson.  I am the founder and president of The AngelWing Project, Inc.  I founded this organization in this area because this is my community.  I live here but have to travel to participate in an active arts community.  There are thriving arts communities all around this area but there was not much in the immediate area.  There also was not a lot of diverse representation in the immediate area although residents are extremely diverse.  My organization has partnered with the Chesapeake Arts Center who is also dedicated to this community to produce high quality shows that speak to diverse communities and offer individuals opportunities to be a part of the performing arts.
