About the event
Our goal is to be the premier provider of high energy sporting events that focus
on the fan experience while maintaining the highest standards for the athletes. This event will air on CBS Sports Network to over 99 Million households in the United States. We feature the premier amateur and young professional fighters and place them on the National Stage With CBS Sports Network.We feature tomorrow's MMA stars with the premier amateur and young professional fighters on the west coast. We want big fights and produce big fights!

“JW” has been involved in the sports promoting/entertaining business for over 20 years and promoted or co-promoted over 35 MMA events. A Fresno native, JW was raised in a family business and carries those same values over to UPC.
In 1995 he was the youngest member to ever be appointed to the National Athletic Committee for Shriners Hospitals. A board which overseas all athletic events for Shriner’s Hospitals nationwide. After working with the East West Shrine football game for 12 years and serving on the Board of Directors, JW got involved in the MMA business. He spent the first 2 years working with successful promoters in California like Scott Coker of Bellator to “learn the ropes.” In 2011 he started Up & Comers MMA series and has promoted over 30 successful events.
