About the event
The ASMBS Foundation's United We Step Challenge is an annual event held nationwide to raise awareness of obesity in America and funds to support obesity research, education and access to care initiatives.
Participants will challenge themselves and their friends to track their steps and physical activity for one day, October 31, 2017. This year's goal is to reach a collective total of 50 million steps and raise 20 thousand dollars.
New this year - your sponsorship dollars could help us reach our step goal. For ever penny raised we will add ONE STEP towards our challenge goal.
Why should you sponsor?
Obesity affects 78 million American adults, and that number is predicted to double by 2020. Obesity contributes to a host of medical problems, including heart disease, sleep apnea, stroke and cancer. But this disease is treatable, and more importantly preventable. With your support we will be able to increase our outreach and share our mission with individuals across the country.
