About the event

The Urban League of Greater Atlanta (ULGA) is a 501c3 non-profit agency that enables and empowers African Americans and others to achieve their highest human potential and secure economic self-reliance, parity, power,
and civil rights. As an auxiliary of the ULGA, the Urban League of Greater Atlanta Young Professionals (ULGA-YP) support the National Urban League movement through volunteerism, philanthropy, and membership development. We accomplish this by supporting our local affiliate, the Urban League of Greater Atlanta, providing a forum for the development of young professionals and engagement of Atlanta’s youth. ULGA-YP is one of 67 National Urban League Young Professionals chapters that serve approximately 340 members across Metro Atlanta.

As we embark on our 19th year of service as a chapter, we have committed ourselves to make 2019-20 more profound and impactful than ever! In order to make this possible, we need your help! During the holiday season,
our ULGA-YP Chapter will host our annual Holiday Soiree benefit event on December 19th, 2019 at Monday Night Garage. We anticipate 300 guests in attendance, comprising a host of young professionals and entrepreneurs from various fields. As such we are asking sponsors to contribute towards the costs of our event. Although our event is ticketed, outside contributions allow us to offset event costs, thus allowing us to give 100% of gift donations as scholarships to high school students interested in attending college. Further, the advertisement we provide in exchange for contributions on our website and social media is guaranteed to expand your clientele/audience base no matter the industry.

As we gear up for another holiday season, we hope you will consider supporting the Urban League of Greater Atlanta Young Professionals. Your sponsorship or in-kind donation will enable us to remove the financial barrier of uncertainty for underserved high school students who desire to attend college. Last year with the help of sponsors and supporters, we were able to raise $15,000 in scholarship funds and gave five awards to students in Metro
Atlanta. This year we are charged with raising $50,000 for the ULGA-YP Dream Catcher’s Scholarship Fund to impact more students in our local community.

The Urban League of Greater Atlanta Young Professionals is a premier volunteer auxiliary. The ULGA-YP membership age range is primarily 21-40, where 83% have a Bachelor’s degree and 41% have a mix of Master’s and Professional degrees. The majority of our members live or work in
the Greater Atlanta area. Our professional backgrounds include sales, marketing, education, law, medical, financial services, engineering, government, public health, computer sciences, and non-profit.

My name is Tiffany Scott and I currently serve on the advisory board for the Urban League of Greater Atlanta Young Professionals as the Fund  Development Chair. In my role, I launch creative events and campaigns to raise funds for our personal/professional programming and community initiatives. I'm passionate about Atlanta and working towards creating a community where all folks truly have access to opportunity.
