    Universidad de Manila has been one of the fastest approaching universities to be listed in the top performing schools in the country. It has been a reputed institution for courses such as Criminology, Mass Communication, Social Work, and Physical Therapy.

     

    The University’s College of Mass Communication has an annual theater play production where students showcase their talents and hone their skills in performing. Last year, theater plays namely ABKD and Streetlight Manifesto performed in the University’s Cecilia Munoz Palma Hall and drew almost 4,000 attendees in a four-day show. Audiences like parents, students, alumni and students from other schools showed support which made the event successful. Also, with the good help of their sponsors that makes the event possible.

    This year, in line with the celebration of the Universidad de Manila's Theater Arts Month 2018, the College of Mass Communication and the PABIDA Productions will stage a one-act play in Filipino entitled "Traje de Boda”, a 2003 Carlos Palanca Memorial Awardee written by Maria Kristine "Coca Nicolas" Roxas. The event will take place at the Justice Cecilia Munoz Palma Hall, Universidad de Manila on February 20-22, 2018.

    A witty comedy, ‘Traje de Boda’ presents an all-female performer set in a bridal shower scene, delivered in a bold and comical forum. The friends will share struggles in marriage, resolving issues with their husbands, and reassessing the role of being a woman. All set in a bar, these five women hilariously pick on each other’s work and relationship problems as they strive to find the happiness they all deserve. Witness how these five women face their issues in a world that is constantly rediscovering what it means to be a woman.

    See how our production will bring thousands of audiences in three consecutive days, which we believe, that your company would be a great partner to conducting this event since the theater play will take place with a three-day event starting on February 20-22, 2018.
