About the event
We are a group of young doctors, who are trying hard to help the needy part of the society when they need us the most, besides giving treatment. We work under one umbrella, the "Manuhe Manuhor Babe" trust. Its a social service trust formed by us on 18th August, 2017. Presently we are running a school in a very remote area of Assam and also doing some other activities. The fund for these activities come from our own donations.
This event is for fund raising to help the women in flood relief camps to maintain menstrual hygiene and dignity. Assam is a flood effected state of Assam. In the next 2/3 months, flood will hit the vulnerable areas. Government helps the people by making flood relief camps and providing necessary things. But, somehow the question of menstrual hygiene gets less priority than it should get. It is very difficult to manage in those difficult days. So, we want to stand by their side and help them to live with their dignity in those difficult days.
The event will be graced by prominent personalities of Assam, politicians, bureaucrats, Assamese film stars, businessmen and youngsters from various colleges.Why should you sponsor?
This event is just for charity. The event aims to help the women in flood relief camps during their difficult days (periods) and help them to live with their dignity.
Manuhe Manuhar BabeyWe are a group of young doctors who have a heart for the poor and needy part of the society and work for them, besides giving treatment. We work under one umbrella, the "Manuhe Manuhor Babe" trust. This is a social service trust formed by us on 18th August, 2017. The fund comes from monthly contribution of all the members of the trust.
We are trying to find out the poor and needy part of the society in all over Assam and identify their needs and find out some solutions for that. If we think that we can help them to solve out their problems, then we proceed for that.
Mainly we work on health education including personal hygiene, menstrual hygiene, education against passive smoking etc etc; occasional health camps, deworming drives, distribution of public donations like cloths, rice etc in camps and many other social activities.
