About the event
The Solo Momtreat is an event produced by Live Beautiful Co. A company that curates different travel and local events for women. This year alone we will be hosting travel experiences in Costa Rica, Ghana, California and a conference for women in Ghana. Our local events comprise of: Self Care Sundays - monthly or bimonthly workshops and activities for women like 'The Beauty Bar: A Beauty Workshop' 'The Apothecary: A Soap and Candle Making Class' etc.
The Solo Momtreat is the first of it's kind. It is a travel retreat that focuses solely on the health and general well-being of mothers. The event is designed to capture all elements of physical, emotional, and spiritual well being for the hardest working group of people in the world: mothers.
Our 4 Day Retreat will include self care sessions like: sunrise yoga, morning meditations, mini therapy sessions, healing circles, and self care workshops. For fun, we will be kicking it off with a sunset champagne toast in our villa (Villa Punto de Vista) when the guests arrive, a liberating lingerie/pajama party for girl's only where we will be celebrating all bodies, colors and sizes, tours of Manuel Antonio, salsa classes etc. And for self reflection, we will be having 3 speakers join us to empower our guests to keep reaching their goals, to develop their individuality. The current speaker short list includes but is not limited to:
Simona Noce (Co-founder of District Motherhued)
Ruby Buah (owner of KUA Jewelry)
Andrea Faulkner Williams, (Owner/Founder of Tubby Todd)
Rainbow Barris, MD (The real life mom who is depicted as Rainbow Johnson from ABC’s Black-ish) and Actress & Singer, La’Myia Good-Bellinger
The women will then end the retreat with a sunset boho-themed dinner on the beach which will include a healing ceremony followed by dinner, music and dancing.
Even still many of the workshops and events during the Solo Momtreat will be optional. Giving guests the freedom to enjoy their time without feeling worn out.
The event aims to empower mothers to take time out for themselves to feed their minds and bodies while still having fun and building community. Momtreat goers will have the ability to become a part of their own FB group and attend "reunion" events in their local cities. The event is open to 24 guests to stay intimate, however our founder a mommy influencer has a network of close to 20,000 millennial mothers. With her network in social marketing, we have estimated a fan base of over 400k mothers between all the "mom influencers" and speakers that will be sharing this event.
Keep your eye out for Live Beautiful as we will be promoting a slew of many different events to come.
Why should you sponsor?
The Live Beautiful Difference
We keep our schedules light, relaxed and people-focused, allowing an authentic experience with country and culture. In addition, we offer optional add-ons that allow you to create the kind of experience you want for yourself. Maybe our guests prefer to spend a day at the museum instead of climbing the second-highest mountain in Africa. Maybe you prefer to laze on the beach or poolside instead of jet-skiing.
At Live Beautiful, we don't believe that one experience fits all. And we don't believe in the kinds of experiences that leave you more worn out when you left than when you got there. A beautiful life is whatever you want to make of it - we're just here to help show our guests how.
This explains why our sign up sheets are filling up and why there will always be a demand for our events. Each event/experience is individually curated to match the needs and interests of our specific target market while still maintaining expert attention to detail with every step.
Each experience is also kept intimate in order to create impact and more avid "storytellers", stroytellers are event goers who are sold on the need for each experience and become influencers within their circle of influence. We have many events and experiences in our roster, be a part of changing the way people look at life and enjoying it.
My name is Dana Ferrer and I am the founder/blogger at Live Beautiful Mama and the co-founder and curator at Live Beautiful Co. I was born and raised in Ghana, West Africa and moved to North America in my teens where I lived in Toronto and now, finally, Atlanta. I graduated with a BA in Economics and Organizational Management from the Agnes Scott College in Atlanta and currently manage a boutique artist representation + production company called the Spin Style Agency as the managing director.
My journey with women-focused initiatives started as a young girl in school and has carried on now as my new role of "mommy" to a miracle 2 year old who was born at 27 weeks and spent 3 months in the NICU. My ability to tell authentic stories and connect with women on a deeper level started off in 2015 when I started documenting and sharing my daughter's journey with the hashtag #watchingavagrow.
Since then I have connected with thousands of women, even speaking at this year's inaugral conference for moms in DC (The Momference) on mental health and wellbeing of moms. I have also worked with hundreds of brands from an influencer level.
Though I enjoy being a micro-influencer and having a highly engaging audience my goal now, is to channel these skills into creating a company that puts women's well being, individuality and freedom at the forefront of it's initiatives and make a new mark on the world.
With my experience in production and management I can be trusted to cater to every party and scope out every detail. Making sure each experience is not only enjoyable and social media worthy but stays in or under budget, pleases our stakeholders and is logistically sound.
