About the event

Our 2019 A Ladies Affair: The Key to a HealthiHER Lifestyle is going to be one to remember! Surrounded by themes like women empowerment, zen, mindfulness, unicorns, jamming music, and a general peace of mind, anticipate partaking in a dreamy experience, where everything and anything self-love worthy is possible! Let’s prepare to embark on this journey together, offering the women of Los Angeles the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing, joyful, and magical atmosphere.

Our Goal is to provide women the unique opportunity to learn simple and practical self-care tools to become healthier & happier.

We believe that new social practices will encourage a broader cultural shift towards more healthy and sustainable living. Mindfulness, wellness, and meditation are the psychological processes of bringing attention to the present moment that helps relate ourselves, others and the environment with consciousness and compassion, which too includes the encouragement of gender health equity.

Why should you sponsor?

In the past, this event has raised nearly $3,000, which has influenced our members and event attendees to nourish & reconnect with their entire self—body, mind, and spirit. We believe true wellness begins with self-care. 

Thus, last year’s event was such a huge success that we decided to host the event again! This time around we’re hoping to raise even more! Our goal is $15,000, and we were hoping that you could help us reach that goal. 

By becoming one of our sponsors, you’ll be able to help us (1) Increase available Los Angeles’ community resources (e.g., community gardens, cooperative buying clubs, social support for a healthy diet) and reduce barriers (e.g., lack of affordable fresh produce in local stores) to be used for healthy meal planning and preparation, (2) Identify and create opportunities for safe, enjoyable, and low-impact activities for Los Angeles’ community members, (3) Organize health professional participation in support group discussions to promote the discovery, dissemination and the integration of knowledge regarding women’s health, and (4) Expand the range of healthcare services related to prevention, detection, and treatment strategies for women beyond those provided through the traditional medical model.

Tyler Davis

Tyler Davis is the founder and board chief executive officer of Women’s Gentle Care, Inc.—She provides the direction on the practicality of the board’s vision and mission. Tyler has received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Women’s Studies from The University of California, Riverside. Likewise, she has received her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Charles R. Drew University. During both her undergraduate and graduate career, and thereafter, she has streamlined in numerous research studies and projects that were based on women, medicine and women’s health disparities alike. Her studies always emphasized how important it is for medical research to acknowledge and examine sex differences for the benefit and enhancement of prevention, detection and treatment strategies for women and health equality. Nonetheless, Tyler has made it her life’s work to not only affect change at the community level, but has also devoted her achievements and credentials to refining the health of women, as well as building awareness of the issues related to women’s health and gender biology amongst health professionals and the general public.
