  • About the event

It does not concern the sponsoring of the French Robotic Cup but the one year sponsoring of our team PM-ROBOTIX which has participated in this cup for almost 20 years now.

The French Robotics Cup is a fun, scientific and technical challenge of robotic amateurs teams of young people passionate about robotics or having educational projects for young people. Teams must consist of several people. This meeting allows many exchanges of knowledge and know-how between the participants.

Participants must design and build an autonomous robot in accordance with the rules, in the spirit of this competition and able to participate in matches. Participants can be followed by a teacher, but the design and construction of the robots must be the result of their reflections.

The compliance of the robots with the regulation will be the subject of an homologation. The competition includes a qualifying phase and a final phase by direct elimination.

The first three French teams, and one team that received a special prise, will meet their international opponent during the Eurobot final.

PM-ROBOTIX is an independent team, created by former students of the School of Computer Science and Applications of Lorraine. It is based north of 54, Villerupt and is composed of computer engineers that works in Luxembourg. Since 2016 the team is half French and half Belgian.

We are scattered in the north-east and south of Belgium (between Nancy / Bar-le-Duc / Villerupt / Luxembourg) but also Abbeville.

Our goal is to have fun, realizing our passion, while participating in the Robotic Cups that we are constantly promoting around us.

We participate each year with little means, while trying to find the simplest and most effective ideas.

With the motto "KISS" always in mind "Keep It Simple Stupid" ! We build everything from A to Z (electronics, mechanics, and IT).

Thanks to a significant investment of several hundred hours, we expect of course, as in previous years, to be approved and participate in a maximum of matches with our robots ...

... and why not do better than our 18th place in 2015!

The team is made up of 2 engineers and two little girls of 15 and 17 year-olds passionate about robotics.

8 other people, for most ingeeneers working in Luxemburg, are also working on our project throughout the year.
