About the event

Join us for a unique "Under the Lights" night run this year in celebrating our 2nd Annual Take Me Out To The 5k is a family event for all!

This race allows individuals and families to conquer both physical and mental milestones all while supporting a prominent cause. The race will feature a Major League 5k timed run and a 200 yard Rookie Run for the kids. All race options will end with a finishers zone on the field.

Major League Runners will receive a complimentary t-shirt and one FREE alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage. Our “Rookies” will receive a non-alcoholic beverage and commemorative item.

New for this year: First place winner will receive a Luxury Suite and 20 tickets to the game (a $795 value). Awards will be given to the overall top three winners! Medals will be distributed to the top three male and females in each age group category.

Post-race, runners will get to experience an evening to remember. We will offer a family friendly atmosphere complete with kid zone. The Lakewood BlueClaws food and alcohol concessions will be open and available for purchase.

Mother Runner Event’s goal is to support local charities in our community. This year, Take Me Out To The 5k will support the suicide prevention non-profit organization, Start Day One. Start Day One’s mission is to help change people’s perspective from dreaming of one day to starting day one. Start Day One’s unique approach of being proactive through education instead of a reactive one is what sets them apart from other suicide prevention organizations. Take Me Out To The 5k will raise funds to send public speakers to venues such as schools, rehab centers, and military bases to proactively educate on suicide prevention.

Mother Runner events is proud to launch the second annual Take Me Out To The 5k on Friday, April 24, 2020 at First Energy Park, home of the Lakewood BlueClaws.

Mother Runner Events was founded by two mothers who recognized the importance of surrounding themselves with like-minded individuals that can raise you up, support, and challenge you to be the best version of yourself. The events produced by Mother Runner Events focus on providing individuals and families a healthy and unique event from start to finish.

Major League Runners will receive a complimentary t-shirt, one FREE alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage, and best of all a ticket to a future BlueClaws Game! Our “Rookies” will receive a non-alcoholic beverage and finishers medal.

Mother Runner Events was founded by two mothers who quickly realized the value in finding their tribe on their motherhood journey. They realized the importance of surrounding themselves with like-minded individuals that can raise you up, support, and challenge you to be the best version of yourself. This euphoric feeling of self-worth can be achieved through participating in a Mother Runner Events race. The mission is to provide a family friendly race environment for those of all abilities, by hosting not just a race, but an event from start to finish.  The races vary in distance  to include all levels of competition; you will never forget the feeling of crossing the finish line at a Mother Runner Event.
