About the event
Abiding Love Foundation, Inc. has been fighting breast cancer and the unforeseen burdens that this disease brings upon those who are affected by it for more than 3 years. Our mission is to save lives and help end breast cancer by promoting awareness, providing health education programs, ensure access to quality healthcare, resources, and support to women, men and families that may face or are now facing breast cancer and enhance their quality of life. We are now working on a new human services and arts stage play project that will bring empowerment and hope to those who have been burdened by this unforeseen disease and help them to heal holistically, mentally, emotionally, physically, and stay relevant and relative to society today. This stage play is entitled, FAITH WAS THE SUBSTANCE which includes original gospel music by Shawn Brooks. The uniqueness of this project is that it allows a visual to how one person actually survived breast cancer as well as offers assistance to those in need of help dealing with this disease. The under-served population is our focus market. Each event offers educational opportunities as well as health benefits to those in need of care. Just this past July we provided 26 women mammograms who did not have health insurance.
Our organization is a nonprofit 501 (c) 3 entity and has employed 14 staff and volunteers to plan educational and arts outcome-driven programs for the sole purpose of promoting our mission and providing low-and-moderate income community assistance with breast health care, breast health education, food, shelter, financial literacy and workforce development.
Why should you sponsor?
Abiding Love Foundation offers breast health care to those who are in need. We concentrate on the emotional healing as well as the physical healing from the disease. The disease affects mostly women. Women are the backbone of the family and require a healthy body as well as mind in order to successfully manage the house hold.
I am a breast cancer survivor. After experiencing my ordeal of having had breast cancer, I do not want anyone else to have to endure the physical and emotional trauma of this disease. Early detection is vital.
I am a businesswoman and entrepreneur of 16 years and organization is my area of excellence. I have a degree in counseling and experience as being a Chaplain at a local hospital.
My references will tell you that I handle my business and enjoy doing so. I am always checkable and very much approachable.
