Springfield Welfare & Cultural Association gears up for 15th Durga Puja Celebration

Faridabad : Celebrating the spirit of festivities, Springfield Welfare & Cultural Association, (SWCA) Springfield Colony, Sector 31, Faridabad is geared up to host the auspicious ‘Durga Puja’ for the 15th consecutive year.

Expressed as the Home Coming of the Divine Mother, Durga Puja not only spreads the message of unity amongst society but also adds colors to millions with the essence of newness. Keeping this intrinsic affection of bengali’s around the globe, SWCA is committed to spread the color of unity and joy in the society. 

Presided by Ranen Gupta, SWCA of Sector 31, Faridabad has been celebrating the festivities for last nine years bringing joy to residents of Springfield Colony & surrounding residential areas. 

Over the years SWCA Durga Puja has emerged as one of the biggest puja in Faridabad in terms of footfalls & size of the pandal. Tha pandal will be ready for public viewing by 15th Oct. The interior and exterior furnishing of the pandal blends with heritage and contemporary.

During the four day long enchanting festival, puja & arti will be held everday during morning & evening followed by prasad distribution. Different cultural programmes will also be are organized like poetry recitation, drawing & calligraphy competition, drama, song, folk & bolly dances & games in which ladies & children actively participate. On Panchami, Anandmela will be organised by local ladies displaying culinary delights. On Astami Dandiya night will be organised in association with United Residents Welfare Association. 

This year, Springfield Sarbojanin Durga Puja will experience a stunning singing performance by artistes from Kolkata, singer & performers besides the participation of the local talents.

With industrious efforts by members & organizing team, SWCA puja offers a glimpse of the cultural heritage with an irresistible spark of lights, unforgettable music, arrangements of janta bhog and may more surprises. 

Besides, organizing such festivals this organization is actively engaged in bringing joyous moments in the lives of many unprivileged children. Free lunch for street children has been organized during all four days of Puja.
