About the event
The Silk Road Fashion show is bringing together designers from Silk Road countries together in one show in London to celebrate their innovations and creativity. The show will demonstrate what Silk Road fashion is about today, based on tradition, modern ideas and different cultures.
Our concept is to bring these diverse designers together to experience the wide variety of modern design along the Silk Road, exchanging experience and ideas as the Silk Road has always done. In particular it will allow designers and buyers in the UK to experience these new creations and provide opportunities for new contacts and business relationships.
The fashion show is organised by Elanu Enterprises Ltd with the support of the China Design Centre. We are also seeking support of the Embassies of the Silk Road countries and other partners.
The event with a catwalk is to take place in London with an open invitation to fashion designers, media, buyers, fashion colleges, fashion related businesses and the general public. This is a chance to find inspiration in new creations and styles of Silk Road fashion in the 21st century.
The event will introduce business opportunities for designers, manufactures and buyers to meet each other as well as bring big media exposure.
We are expecting a number of VIP guests, such as diplomats, celebrities and buyers. There will be media coverage from wide selection of newspapers magazines and Fashion TV.
The participating designers are from countries of the Silk Road, including those who currently work in the UK. Approximately 20 designers will be selected to demonstrate their collections. Each designer will have showroom (stalls) in addition to their catwalk presentations. In addition about 10 jewellery and accessories designers will have stalls.
The doors will be open at 17:00pm for buyers, media and public. There will be a catwalk show for designers to introduce their pieces, followed by networking.
