About the event
We have over 3,000,000 handmade crafters in Nigeria and 500,000 handmade crafters
in Lagos state. Their works are of high aesthetics and spectacular but are undervalued
and underpriced due to misconceptions of handmade crafts, misrepresentation of Africa
and her crafts and lack of awareness of the existence of these talented crafters and their
crafts and the vast potential of handmade crafts to the nation’s economy and environment.
This gave birth to Serudech Handmade Craft Fair (SHCF). it is a new event proposed to be
staged on an annual basis starting in Lagos and in due time to other states in Nigeria and
other countries in Africa.
“SHCF 2023” is focused on creating awareness and market for African handmade crafts
by showcasing a curated selection of handmade crafts across all media to a global audience
and making sure our guests have a wonderful time while they browse, network and shop
