  • About the event

    Scoff Sussex is a Family Friendly Food Festival - the first of it's kind in the South of England.  We will be championing the very best of Sussex food and drink, whilst offering an original day out for the whole family - with impressive and stimulating childrens entertainment, to include train rides, mini golf, food related craft areas, wall climbing, accoustic music, chocolate making and magicians.  All set against the backdrop of the stunning South Downs and within walking distance from the mainline train station of Haywards Heath.

    Food wise, we have sourced some 50+ vendors who are all Sussex based, and many are award winners.  There is a strong international flavour to the event too, including Sussex produced Thai, Japanese, Indian, South African and South American foods too, among others - we are bringing Sussex food from around the world.

    This is our launch year, a one day ticketed event, where we are expecting a footfall of 2000+ customers in attendance between 11am-6pm on Saturday 16th September 2017.  We aim to provide a full family day out offering outstanding choice and activities, and value for money.  The event will be fully secured, with an extrance Marquee/registration area.  Tickets are to be priced at £8.50 for adults and children under 12 go free.  Customers will receive a free 'Goody Bag' upon entry containing a high quality informative brochure, media partner branded merchandise, childrens activity sheets and various samples donated by our stallholders and advertisers.

    The plan is to roll out this event as an annual two-day event from next year.

    Scoff Sussex is currently in talks with local radio station More FM regarding a Media Partnership and we are pledged to run a radio campaign to publlicise the event, alongside traditional print marketing, social media platforms and signage and banners in the Haywards Heath/Mid Sussex area.  We will be heavily marketing the event in every way possible.

     


    Claire Clark

    Scoff Sussex has been set up by Claire-louise Clark and Lucy Ives.  We are friends with an equal passion for food, and for business. 

    Claire comes from a Production Management background, where she has worked on documentaries for BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5, Discovery and Sky, and most recently spent 5 years at Channel 4 News.  As Production Manager, I was dealing with budgets, logistics, staffing, contracts and ensuring the right people were in the right place, at the right time, with the right equipment!

    Lucy comes from the world of Creative Advertising and Strategic Planning.  She honed her skills at a Global Media Company as 'International Events Manager' in both the UK and Australia. 

    Whilst this is indeed our first Food Festival, we both have a passion for food, and a passion for family days out.  The skills we possess between us, plus the dedication to make this event truly extraordinary and memorable mean that this event will be run professionally and competently.

    Our business plan intends to roll out Scoff Sussex as an annual 2 day event from 2018.  Therefore we are trying to lay the foundations of mutually beneficial relationships now, which we will prove to be trustworthy and long lasting.
