About the event

The Scleroderma Foundation is the national organization for people with scleroderma, their families and friends. The Scleroderma Foundation, headquartered in Danvers, MA, is a network committed to carrying out the three-fold mission of support, education and research. Our organization, the Scleroderma Foundation, is divided into Chapters and support group districts.  The Scleroderma Foundation, Ohio Chapter shares the three-fold mission of the national Scleroderma Foundation.  The way that our Chapter carries out the first prong of the mission (support) is to provide eight physical support groups around the state and a virtual call-in group with nationally-known speakers.  We offer education through free education days around the state every year and our centrally-located State Patient Education Conference every two years.  A free newsletter is published three times a year to help keep patients informed about how to manage their disease as well.  Several fundraisers such as walks, raffles, golf and bowling tournaments and restaurant fundraisers, are held around Ohio each year with the purpose of helping us carry out our mission.  With the funds brought in from these events, we have been able to give $40,000 to the national office designated for research for the last few years.  In turn, the Scleroderma Foundation funds $1 – 1.5 million in new grants each year to find the cause and cure for scleroderma.  We advocate on behalf of patients for awareness and federal funding for research through bills such as Ohio Senate Bill 133 and U.S.H.R. 3666.

Statement of purpose
Scleroderma is a devastating autoimmune disease. (See scleroderma.org) It is very hard for doctors to diagnose. Our purpose is to support patients, provide education, organize fundraisers, and advocate for awareness and funding for research.

The Scleroderma Foundation, Ohio Chapter facilitates events to create a community for Ohioans living with scleroderma.  Our printed publications, e-newsletter, social media channels and website reach thousands of people.  Scleroderma is a highly individualized disease, attacking the skin, lungs, heart, or kidneys.  It can be fatal.  There is no known cause or cure.  
We need your help to find a cure.  We invite you to sponsor our Scleroderma Foundation Ohio Chapter Gala to be held at 6:00 p.m. on October 7, 2017.  The gala will be held at the Holiday Inn Cleveland South, 6001 Rockside Dr., Independence, OH  44131.  This gala will be attended by individuals from all over Ohio. 
We are also planning a silent auction, live auction and a 50/50 raffle.  Invited honorees of our Special Service Award at the gala include U.S. Representative, Steve Stivers, who co-sponsored our bill, H.R. 3666 last year.
The following levels are options, but we will be glad to tailor a program specific to your company with higher or lower sponsorship levels.  We have done this for other companies and they have been very happy with the program that we’ve set up for them.
Bronze Level - $90 - sponsor name / logo will be added to the gala website

Silver Level - $150 – sponsor name/ logo will be added to the gala website and our monthly e-newsletter which is emailed to 2500 people

Gold Level - $300 – sponsor name/ logo will be added to the gala website, our e-newsletter, and event-related boosted ads on Facebook

Platinum Level - $500 – sponsor name/ logo will be added to the gala website, our e-newsletter, event-related boosted ads on Facebook and flyers given at the event

Diamond Level - $1000 - 2 gala tickets included, sponsor logo will be on direct mailings for this event, our e-newsletter, event-related social media posts (including boosted ads on Facebook), flyers given at the event, and our website home page (www.sfohio.org).

Description of Scleroderma:  Scleroderma is a disabling and potentially-fatal autoimmune disease impacting the body's connective tissue. Hardening of the skin is the most visible manifestation of the condition and it can affect many areas of the body, including the heart, lungs, kidneys, or gastrointestinal tract. Recent investment in research activities has led to the identification of potential pathways for treatment, but at this time there is no known cure and no known cause.
