Science Voyage,

Iceland Iceland

  • About the event

    Dear all,

For the first time in the Verdugo Hills HS history, ten juniors and seniors will have the opportunity to visit Iceland. The trip will focus on science and education and will be chaperoned by John Lee, science teacher at VHHS. Our school is part of the Los Angeles Unified School District. Unfortunately our location and student body is challenging when it comes to find funding and parent contributions. The participants are determined to raise as much as they can through community outreach, local events, food sales, car washes etc. but we definitely can use a push from sponsors who feel they feel a connection with our mission and the purpose of this trip. The trip is organized through WorldStrides and exposure will be on both our social media platforms.

    Why should you sponsor?

We hope you feel the same as us: that the world belongs to our children, that communication and education needs to be global in order to promote a healthy exchange of knowledge to ensure this world becomes better and better for future generations.

We are a senior HS located in Tujunga, CA, and are part of LAUSD.

Verdugo Hills H.S. has been honored as a silver medalist by the US News and World Report Rankings of Outstanding High Schools in the country in 2016.

We have a "classic" HS as well as 2 excellent magnet programs (STEM and VAPA).
