About the event

This event is a pop-up showroom for fine art and homeware such as artisinal dishes, cutlery, collectible design chairs and wall art. 

It is the softlaunch for the brand and is the first in NYC of many, including Montreal, London and more.

This is an indepently run company by a recent student, with established partners/ designer. I am looking for some help.

Why should you sponsor?

I am very good with self sufficiency and manage a lot on my own. But it is important to recognize how important collaborations, community, sponsorship and partners are. 

I am a one person team. I want assistance but I am not looking for just handouts. I am a recent student from the top design and fine art school in the country and I put myself through school while starting up Room–file and managed to recieve accolades and scholarships, at the top of my class.

I'm a very considerate person, of economically, and envirenmentally. I have a powerful mind and I want to use it, but it can be hard to do that without proper resources. 

And bottom line, I am not afraid of anything. People like my stuff, and buy it.

Jirah Joshua

My name is Jirah Joshua. I have a background in fine arts and fashion. I've lived in Montreal, London, New York, Morocco and Chicago; where I attended the Art Institute of Chicago. 

 

I design furnite but it is influenced by my multidisciplinary background. I am also mixed race : Native American, the Chickasaw tribe, North African and Black american. I have been on my own since I was 16, coming from Kansas originally, a very small town, where from there, I sustained myself with art and fashion modelling where I eventually made enough to move to Chicago and put myself through school. I am now starting to run the Room–file showroom for conceptual design. Which is why I am looking for sponsorship.
