Roger McGough's Money-Go-Round,

Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom

  • About the event

    Money-Go-Round is a brand-new family-friendly musical based on the witty and mischievous work of renowned poet Roger McGough.

    The show is touring this Summer to Kidzfield at Glastonbury Festival, the Jersey Opera House and the Assembly Ballroom at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

    We will then be using the profile of our Summer tour to take the show to venues across the UK throughout 2024. This tour is being co-produced with Bill Kenwright Ltd, who are helping to get the production programmed at their extensive network of high-profile venues.

    Mr Toad has a shiny gold coin. He gives it to Lavender Mole to pay for a room in her hotel. Now Lavender Mole can pay Jan Stoat for cleaning the windows, and Jan Stoat can pay back Mr Badger... until the coin might just end up back where it started.

    Money-Go-Round is an “utterly enchanting” (Gyles Brandreth) musical, with a tuneful and boisterous score, McGough’s unique wit, and an important message about our responsibilities to each other and our environment.

    "Wordy, witty" (The Sunday Times)

    "Fantastic" (Basil Bush)

    "Amazing, we loved it!" (Binky Felstead)

    "Pure magic" (Mark Aspen Reviews)

    Why should you sponsor?

    With a prime slot at the Glastonbury Festival Kidzfield, prominent support from the Jersey Opera House in their touring season, and a run at one of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival's most prestigious venues, Money-Go-Round is set to be watched by ~30,000 people over the next 12 months... and your organisation could be right at the heart of this!

    We are keen to established tailored sponsorship programmes that can be built directly into the marketing and communications for our show. Given that Money-Go-Round carries an important message about the importance of carefully managing money, and our responsibilities to the environment, we are especially interested in sponsorship from organisations that:

    • Have an interest in teaching financial responsibility to young people;
    • Have a commitment to environmental responsibility;
    • Are dedicated to establishing strong community values.

    Benefits range from having your organisation included on flyers that are given out to the attendees to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, being included on our publicity design for all legs of Summer tour, all the way up to being our exclusive sponsor throughout 2023 and 2024, and having a reference to your organisation built into our set design!

    Please note that any expression of interest in sponsorship will then open a conversation with our venues. As per our contract, the Jersey Opera House and Assembly Festival retain the right to veto any sponsorship proposed, which although unlikely would mean that we would not be able to proceed with your sponsorship for the Jersey and/or Edinburgh runs. This would be clarified prior to any sponsorship being finalised.
