About the event
Roaring into 2020 Roaring Twenties Fundraiser is hosted by PFLAG-Spartanburg benefitting the Uplift Outreach Center. The Uplift Outreach Center is the first of its kind in Spartanburg, South Carolina as it is a LGBTQAI youth and young adults center where individuals can come and take part in socialization skills, group support group, individual peer support, recieve help with their homework, have a place to come and feel safe, they can enjoy a snack and much more. The center only offically opened its doortwo months ago but we hope through the help of this fundraiser we can help them keep them open so that our youtha nd young adults have a safe place that they can come and feel a sense of community, love and support.
Why should you sponsor?
The event offers an exclusive opportunity for you to be able to attach your name to new and growing community center that is the first of its kind here within the Upstate of South Carolina. The center in its short time of being open has already exceeded all the odds and the center's attendees continue to grow each week. As a sponsor you can help a child figure out who they are and give them a sense of hope and encouragement becase they know that someone out their believes in them and cares.
Megan LazarI am a local member of the LGBTQAI community who remembers what it is like to be at an age where you are trying to figure your life out and who you are. I am a representative of PFLAG-Spartanburg who wanted to try and make a difference by donating my time and services so that we could make this fundraiser happen.
