Founded by a resilient Nigerian woman in her late twenties, NeenaPinkRoom is more than just a trendy beauty salon — it's a powerful symbol of strength, self-expression, and self-care.

As an orphan and first-generation immigrant, the founder built NeenaPinkRoom from the ground up with a vision to create a space where women — especially those from underrepresented communities — feel seen, celebrated, and empowered.

In just one year, NeenaPinkRoom has grown into a thriving beauty hub with six employees and an average of 200 clients each month. Known for its bold, feminine aesthetic and strong ties to Calgary’s creative scene, the salon has quickly become a go-to for young creators, entrepreneurs, and tastemakers.

Now, with the Pink Gala, NeenaPinkRoom celebrates its one-year anniversary — not just as a business milestone, but as a moment to honour every woman who chooses herself, prioritizes self-care, and shows up boldly in her beauty and her power.

Nancy Nixon is the owner and founder of Neena’s Pink Room, a chic, vibrant beauty salon located in Kensington, Calgary. She’s a stylist and entrepreneur known for hair‐styling, braids, sew‑ins, wig installs, makeup, and lash extensions, operating with a motto of being “on service 24/7‑365” (neenapinkroom.ca). She well travelled with 14 countries and has lived in four continents . she is very diverse and spontaneous
