About the event

People You Know NYC is a gallery art collective designed to give exposure to college artists living in the NYC area. Started up by 3 college freshmen, this event has had a successful first round in November, bringing in over 200 people from all over New York. With the next show on April 5th, we are looking for a brand to sponsor our second gallery event. Choosing to sponsor your brand’s products at our event guarantees exposure to a predicted 200 people or more, both college students and otherwise. While we are college students and cannot serve alcohol to underage students, we are looking for a brand that will provide an enjoyable addition of food, drink, or otherwise to be enjoyed by our guests. The theme of this show is ‘Classic Romance’, if taken into account a brand may choose to sponsor a product that coincides with this theme. 

Why should you sponsor?

A sponsor who may choose to sponsor our event will be choosing to support a growing startup of he arts and entertainment industry. While our event is an art gallery, we do try our best to give our guests an experience they will enjoy and remember. Emphasis is put on high energy and interactive experiences. A brand sponsorship will serve as an important part of our event, providing our guests with the additional experience of an enjoyable food or drink. A sponsor will definitely not go unnoticed. Additionally, many pictures were taken at our last event, social media exposure is inevitably guaranteed.

Michele O’Kane

My name is Michele O’Kane and I am a co-founder of People You Know NYC along with 2 of my college roommates. We are all freshman and came up with our gallery idea completely on a whim, and once we realized we may have the means and the drive to make it work, that’s exactly what we did. Expecting not many people, we were pleasantly surprised with the outcome of our first event and immediately started planing for the next. I care deeply about helping along young artists who do not have frequent or available opportunities to showcase their work(s). Often times young artists are left to fend solely for themselves, having to tire themselves out endlessly to gain minimal recognition. I wanted to make that easier, as well as provide guests with enjoyable one night experiences they will not forget. As only a college freshmen I am hopeful for where our business goes, and am looking for any opportunity to take it to the next level. We would love to have you sponsor our event in support of our vision.
