About the event
Our new annual event, Pedal to the Prom, will take place on Thursday, September 19, 2019. Our theme this year is Neon Lights, and we’re looking to raise $10,000 to support our program.
Why should you sponsor?
By giving to Fort Worth Bike Sharing’s Pedal to the Prom, you’ll be able to help us provide a new van for the maintenance team that works tirelessly to keep our bikes and stations safe for our riders and the city. You’ll also be helping us spread the word about First Mile, our social equity program offers affordable bike sharing memberships to low-income and transit-dependent members of the Fort Worth community.
Jennifer GrissomFort Worth Bike Sharing is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in charge of operating Fort Worth B-Cycle. Bike sharing is a mode of transportation based on shared use of public bicycles.
The concept began at the Fort Worth Transportation Department (The T), which received a grant from the Federal Transit Administration to help cover capital costs.
Fort Worth Bike Sharing launched the system on Earth Day, April 22, 2013. Fort Worth Bike Sharing has stations set up across Downtown, the Cultural District, the Trinity Trails, the Stockyards, Near Southside and on TCU’s campus.
Mission: To enhance our community by providing an affordable, efficient, environmentally-friendly bike share program that complements our existing public transportation system and provides both residents and visitors a healthy, convenient way to move around our city.
