Paint + Sip 4ACause,

Hodgepodge Coffeehouse and Gallery, Atlanta, Georgia, United States Hodgepodge Coffeehouse and Gallery, Atlanta, Georgia, United States

  • About the event

"Paint + Sip 4ACause" is The Journey School's first major fundraising event, and will be our annual community fundraiser.

One of our talented artists will guide attendees through painting an Atlanta themed painting for them to keep, as attendees are invited to responsibilty enjoy their own wine/beer. All guests will be checked for ID at the door regardless of ticket purchase as this is a 21+ event.

All proceeds go towards our arts programming - our mission is to provide comprehensive arts education for underserved youth in Atlanta.

    Why should you sponsor?

The Journey School of Visual Performing Arts may be new, but we're chartering territority that is relatively untouched: a nonprofit high quality conservatory emphasizing serving the underserved. Most arts organizations have limited "low cost" programming but there aren't any that envision a full equipped conservatory with the goal of providing access for all. That said, we beieve this event is worth your sponsorship for the incredible impact we are making.

In addition to social responsibility,  you'll have opportunity to directly engage with men/women ages 21-40 of diverse socio-econmic background comprised of community leaders, students, parents, business owners, and artists. Your company will reach a braod demographic and be engaging in the heart of East Atlanta, with opporunity for major exposure.

    Angil Tate

My name is Angil Tate, I'm a 2015 grad of Elmhurst College with a BS in Music Business; I'm a violist by trade. I founded TJSVPA from a genuine place wihtin myself I didn't know existed until I was about 20.

At 13 I became a survivor of rape and remember how giving my parents where when it came to my artistic development. Playing viola helped me at that time feel like a normal "kid" and my parents said yes to each artistic endeavor I set my mind to - it was defintely a healing place for me!

Now that I'm an adult I find it my responsibility to give that back, and this is my expression of gratitude. Why should you trust me or my organization? Honestly, I'm just a millenial who dares to believe in the power of giving back, coupled with the power of art. My heart's desire is to see kids flourish in their creativity regardless of their financial background, while pushing them to be the best of the best in their craft.
