Armed division cadets carry simulated drill rifles, and unarmed marches without rifles. The 4 team events are Regulation, Inspection, Color Guard, and Exhibition. In regulation, cadets march to a set list of commands by memory. Inspection is where cadets are graded on how well they wear their respective services uniform and their general knowledge of the military. Color Guard consists of 4 person color guard marching to a set list of commands. Exhibition is free style drill where each team much co e up with their own routine that has military flair.  Other non team events include Armed Solos, Armed Duals, Unarmed Duals, and Armed/Unarmed Knockout Drill which is like simon says. Special awards are given to the top commanders in both divisions. Awards are also given out to the top finishers from each branch of service, each division and the overall state championship. The event is judged by volunteers from local military installations and recruitment offices. The event is free for spectators.

    Why should you sponsor?

Sponsors would have the opportunity to reach out and support our organization in providing hundreds of high school students with State level competition platform so they can take pride in their achievements and be rewarded for all the hard work they do all year. Sponsorship allows us to keep entry fees low so schools from low income areas can have the opportunity to compete. This also provides sponsors with a medium to advertise for their causes or businesses.

    Joshua Joseph

My name is Joshua Joseph, this is my second year as event director. I was in JROTC for the 4 years I was in high school and it had a major impact on my decision to join the military. I’ve spent time on base honor guards, and coaching high school drill teams and I’m proud to be directing this great event.
