  • About the event

Hailing from Uberaba, Minas Gerais in Brazil, the power trio known as Black Pantera (Black Panther) formed in April of 2014. In the time since, the band also opened for international acts such as; Slayer, System of a Down, Prophets of Rage, Gojira and Linkin Park. The band has electrified crowds at Afropunk Paris, the Download and following their latest album release, 2018’s "Agressão".

August 2018 will mark Black Pantera's first ever trip to the US as they plan to tour several of the greatest cities in the country, starting in Dallas, the tour will stop in Baton Rouge, Phoenix, Long Beach, California, Portland, Seattle, Chicago, Atlanta and Tampa. Joined by Atlanta's all female powerhouse band,  The Txlips and Brooklyn's Netflix Documentary stars, Unlocking the Truth, Black Pantera has recruited great local bands in each city that have been anxiously anticipating taking the stage and introducing their fan bases to the Brazil headbangers.

The biggest stop of all will be taking the grand stage at the AfroPunk Brooklyn Festival where an estimated 35,000+ fans will witness Black Pantera skyrocket into the biggest heavy metal sensation out of Brazil since Sepultura. When the band arrives in Brooklyn, they'll be joining a lineup of stars like; The Fever 333,  Erykah Badu, Janelle Monae, Jada Pinkett Smith, Tyler the Creator and more...

    Why should you sponsor?

International Brand Awareness – Though from Brazil, Black Pantera are no strangers to other countries, they've taken center stage at AfroPunk Festival and The Download Festival in Paris, their album "Agressão" is streamed in Spain, Germany, Australia, Italy and Japan.

Connect to an overlooked Audience -  The Black Pantera fan base is made up of a diverse, unique and influential Punk, Heavy Metal and Neo Soul audience. An audience that is often overlooked in mainstream media. These hardcore groups are passionate about things that interest them. They're open-minded, socially and politically conscious and accepting of cross-culturalism.

New listeners of their music and to the Black Pantera experience are going to want to know everything there is to know about these guys immediately upon watching them perform. We'll be distributing physical flyers across the country in the upcoming months to generate more buzz about the tour and of course, social media being the tool that it is, even more awareness will be created through social media event calendars and online fliers. If you'd like to help sponsor the tour and get your logo on our fliers, donate today!

    Kandis Daniel

I'm Kandis "McFly" Daniel, I am the CEO of N,O.B.U. ENTERTAINMENT, a talent management and booking agency out of Dallas, Texas. As a long time local music concert-goer in my younger days, I never expected to find myself in the music industry. But that's exactly what happened in 2008, when I borrowed a laptop and a keyboard and began composing beat instrumentals for friends, that quickly turned into producing instrumentals and selling them through soundclick and rapbattle.com, I did this for many years before returning to my true passion of playing guitar and attending heavy metal shows. In 2013, I began to manage a develop a young, rap duo by the name of the Av8tor Boyz. Since then I've worked with several artists, including rappers, singers and bands to help facilitate the booking of shows for their tour stops both nationally and in Dallas, as well as created events of my own to help create a platform for upcoming artists to showcase their abilities. As of 2018, Black Pantera is our first international act that we've worked with, while booking the dates for their first US tour, we've helped raise awareness in the US for the band through networking with our contacts in other bands, venue owners, radio station directors and personalities, business owners and blog tastemakers.  Thank you for taking the time to consider our partnership. We hope to hear from you soon. :)
