About the event
The Neverland Ball is a 2-day event that encourages people to live out a fantasy that was so far only achievable through reading. Day 1 offers them a book crawl through NYC where they will visit an array of bookstores and fantasy-themed shops as they participate in a group scavenger hunt (with fun prizes as a reward!). Day 2 is the main event—A formal dance at the NYC Hall of Records building, decorated to resemble Peter Pan's beloved Neverland. While the event will not be "Disney" themed, we plan to offer our adult crowd an unforgettable night within an enchanted forest, which will include dancing in gorgeous ball gowns, photo stations, a limited open bar with themed cocktails, and delicious passed hors d'oeuvres.
Why should you sponsor?
Sponsoring our event would mean providing readers and dreamers a chance to experience a type of magic that they have, up to this point, only experienced in books. Almost every single fantasy reader has always dreamed of visiting an enchanted forest or thought about what it would be like to dance the night away in a gorgeous, sparkling ballgown. Your sponsorship would also mean that we would be able to host our planned future events at bookstores, during which we hope to promote our love of literature, and continue hosting events like the Neverland Ball.
Laura MarinThis event is hosted by three people: MJ, Laura, and Ally. We are three best friends that met through our love of books and fantasy and our dream is to provide others with the same opportunity to create that type of friendship. We would love to encourage people to read more and be able to experience a part of the fantasies that they read. MJ is an illustrator and concept artist who owns a bookish merch shop. Ally is an incredibly talented social media marketer and the mind behind our viral TikToks. Laura is a product designer at Disney Streaming with a love for project planning and connecting people through their shared love of fantasy.
