About the event

Three days and nights of retro immersion, including a live music lineup featuring some of the hottest names in Synthwave, a massive themed video arcade, cult and genre film festival, console gaming time capsule, iconic guests and panelists, a yacht rock-themed lounge, a vendor "shopping mall," and above all, a chance to experience the future as imagined by the past without having to invent a time machine.

Grant Garvin

We are a team of organizers based in Providence, RI with 15+ years of event planning experience under our belts. Director Grant Garvin co-founded and ran TempleCon retrofuturism convention from 2006-2016, which attracted thousands of attendees, and was a lead in launching the hugely successful Arcade Revival popup retro arcades which laid the groundwork for what later became Freeplay RI, Providence's premier classic arcade bar destination. Grant is also a respected influencer and leader within the Synthwave and arcade gaming communities.
