    Alexander Dimopoulos

Space Apps changed my life a year ago and I chose to lead this years event in my hometown to help others have the same type of experience I did. To many people technology stands as an intimidating subject leading to the belief that individuals cannot contribute to help solve society's problems without a background in computers.

Hackathons bring together individuals from many fields, from coders to designers, and this creates the perfect environment to introduce new ideas and backgrounds to individuals who once found them too frightening to pursue on their own.

This environment is excellent for personal growth where participants can learn how to work with teams, communication and develop the technical skills required to complete their projects.
