Since 1949 May has been recognized as Mental Health Awareness Month. Each year millions of Americans face the reality of living with a mental illness. The Restoration Village Therapeutic and Holistic Services would like to invite you to join us in presenting and providing our community with a free Mental Health Awareness Summit. There is no time like the present to act with a sense of urgency to help where we can increase awareness of the benefits of protecting our mental health.

Event Details

The Restoration Village proudly presents the third annual My Mental Health Is My Business 2024, a transformative mental health summit dedicated to fostering community well-being. This complimentary gathering unites mental health practitioners, service providers, residents, public servants, and businesses in a collaborative effort to bring positive change to our community, which has faced the compounding challenges of the pandemic, violence, stress, and ongoing life trauma.

Join us on Saturday, May 24[WSM1] , 2024 (11:00AM-2:00PM) in Pontiac, MI at UWM Sports Complex, 867 South Blvd. East for an impactful day of insights, support, and connection, as we navigate the path to mental wellness together. This family event aims to provide a life-changing experience for our community and the entire family addressing the critical issues that have impacted us all. Our distinguished guest speaker, Dr. Sabrina Jackson, will share her expertise and insights, contributing to the empowering discussions on mental health.

Our vision for this event is to increase awareness within communities about the value and importance of caring for one’s mental health and wellness. Stacey Williams

Stacey M Williams is a Licensed Professional Counselor and founded The Restoration Village: Therapeutic and Holistic Services. Stacey has spent her entire career working in the helping profession serving the community, primarily with high-risk populations.  She earned her bachelor’s in Psychology at the University of the West Indies, Jamaica in 2000, and her Master of Arts in Counseling at Spring Arbor University in 2010.

She is a Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist as well as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, with extensive experience working with children, teens, and adults whom the effects of trauma have impacted.  In 2016 The Restoration Village was established, a private practice that specializes in trauma care and support through individual, family, and group therapy as well as other holistic approaches. The essence of the mission of The Restoration Village is “healing the heart, mending the brokenness, restoring the soul”.
