About the event
The Mountains 2 Beach Marathon has built itself into being the premier marathon on the entire west coast for folks looking to qualify for the Boston and New York Marathons. Boasting a gradual 20+ mile descent from the mountains of Ojai CA to Ventura CA, runners are treated to the beauty of the area I get to call home while crushing their goals.
We are humbled every year to welcome runners from 45+ states and 10+ countries and look forward to seeing them year after year!

Benjamin DeWittI am the founder and the race director for this event and have built my life around offering the best event possible to those who honor me by joining. When I started over 10 years ago, I would have never told you I'd still be doing it in 2023, but the joy I get from helping runners achieve thier goals of getting to Boston is beyond measure. The trust my runners and partners give me, humbles me and makes me want to be my best....person, race director, father and husband. I love making lasting relationships and cant wait to see everyone year after year.
