Ronald Ellis Jr., professionally known as Mista Roe, and Named "RnB King of Shreveport" by his hometown fans, hails from Shreveport, LA. He's a successful, Singer/Songwriter, actor, and CEO of Mista Roe Music Group, Inc. He was recently named the Akademia Award recipient for both "Best R&B/Soul Album" and also the "Best R&B/Soul Music Video" Award. As a recording artist, he is internationally known with fans in Germany, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Ireland, Japan, Canada, and throughout the United States. He portrays the character “Mike Batts” in "Fifth Ward: The Series”, a brand new AMC/UMC TV series that debuted March 2, 2018. In the series, he casts side by side with Grammy-winning R&B artist Mya, Carl Anthony Payne, Nephew Tommy, Gary Sturgis, Corr Kendricks, Queen Just Brittany, and Lew Temple.
He has over 11 years of music industry experience. During such time, he has shared the stage with iconic performers of the likes of Mint Condition, Morris Day and The Time, Dave Hollister, and Plies, and he recently performed as a headliner on the “Ladies Night Out” tour in Albuquerque, NM with platinum recording artists, H-Town, 112, Jon B, and Hi-Five. He's worked with several reputable named producers, including Samuel "Knucklehead" Irving who was named "Producer of the year" at the 2014 BMI awards, and also a platinum plaque recipient for his work with August Alsina. He's collaborated with Emmanuel "Eman" Anene who is a platinum plaque holder and is accredited for his works with Stevie Wonder, Dondria, and Daddy Yankee. Mista Roe is an advocate for independent artistry, and decided to build his own label to encourage other independent artists to put love into the business of music. He incorporated the company in March 2017 in the state of Louisiana under the name Mista Roe Music Group, Inc. Since incorporating the record label, he signed a distribution deal with Illustra Distribution (partnered with Sony RED) and re-released "The RnB King of Shreveport" album to Best Buy, Walmart, Target, Barnes & Noble, and FYE. The album is supported by visuals for three of it's songs: “Bees and Birds”, “Tension”, and “Break You Off”.
