About the event
Memphis Afro-Carnival Celebration will be held in the City of Memphis as from July 27th to July 30th, 2017. We expect the cultural festival to attract hundreds of revelers and spectators from neighboring States such as Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, Missouri, Kentucky, North Carolina not forgetting Alabama and other parts of the United States, as well as many Latin American, Africans ad Caribbean countries. This Celebration of Culture will thus showcase these traditional foods, dances and overall ambiance and create an exotic experience for people of all walks of life.
The major highlight of the First Annual Memphis Afro-Carnival Celebration will be the parade of the bands. Each Carnival band will comprise of several revelers dressed in costumes (including head pieces) depicting a theme. The festivities will be fueled by the rhythm of the music that has its origins in the cultural traditions of Africa, the Caribbean, and Latin America.
The four-day festival will feature live music from several artists, film, artwork, lots of food and drinks, consumers of black culture and of course, good vibes.Mission
