Longturn Presents: Enamour,

The Maverick by Kasa, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States The Maverick by Kasa, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States

  • About the event

The Gymnasium at The Maverick | Pittsburgh | Ages 21+

On June 2nd we're bringing back one of our most requested artists to the gymnasium, Enamour! The production prodigy has played in Pittsburgh twice before, once opening for Lane 8 and a second time at one of our very first melodic events in 2019. Since then he has become a definitive dance floor name with loads of releases on some of the biggest labels in the world including Last Night on Earth, Anjunadeep, Factory 93, Kindisch, This Never Happened, Rose Avenue, Desert Hearts Black, mau5trap and more. We can't wait to see what he has in store for us this time!

Opening for the evening will be Pittsburgh locals Brysk from Sentient Productions and Acherone. Joining them will be Toronto-based progressive house and melodic techno dj/producer Alchemist! All three artists are making their Longturn debuts.

While the music inside will start at 8pm like usual, this time we're having an extended happy hour pre-party outside the Maverick with DJs, vendors, drinks, food trucks and more surprises starting at 4pm. This will be free for everyone who purchased a ticket to the event. More info will be announced as we get closer.

Top tier production will be supplied once again by Rush Promo, 4 lasers by Tyler Boyken, and a full Hennessy Sound System rig by Northgate Labs.

Decor, design, and performance direction from the mind of Kayla McCormick.

Enamour is Michael Gold, who was raised near Washington DC -- home to institutions of electronic music like Flash and U Street Music Hall as well as legendary acts like Sharam and Dubfire -- a city invariably considered a hidden heart of the genre in the United States. Long before he could enter a club, Gold found an early interest in music with the piano. A few years later, his fascination continued with guitar, then jazz, indie and later dance -- his passion for music unchanging, despite his evolving taste.

His musical intrigue did not go unnoticed, especially as he began DJing open format around DC. Self-taught and curious, an interest in learning how to edit songs together for friends took him down a rabbit hole experimenting with Reason and Ableton and soon, Enamour was born.

Enamour’s music has never been pigeonholed in any one genre -- with each new exploration as technical as the next -- a reflection of his eclectic musical upbringing and his foundation in music theory combined with the prowess of a seasoned producer. As a result his production touch is as intricate as it is effective and emotive, proven by his consistent ability to produce tracks that are equally enjoyed as listening experiences at home as they are pouring loudly through a club’s sound system.

With each and every one of his releases, he’s continually made fans out of esteemed curators like Pete Tong and Danny Howard as well as leaders like Sasha, Guy J, and Mark Knight. He’s also made his mark as a coveted remixer, reworking the likes of Lane 8, Above & Beyond, Hayden James and Cassian, to name a few. Some of the most renowned institutions of dance music were quick to back those stamps of approval, with Mixmag inducting him into their hand-selected Magnified team of artists on the rise and DJ Mag crowning him “one to watch.”

Undeniably, Enamour has become a global presence while also doing his hometown proud as an outstanding mainstay on the legendary Yoshitoshi label, which also calls Washington DC home. Beyond, he’s also released on several of the genre’s most exciting labels including Last Night on Earth, Anjunadeep, Future Classic, Kindisch, Lane 8’s This Never Happened, Rufus Du Sol’s Rose Avenue, Desert Hearts Black, mau5trap and more. Enamour has toured across India, Argentina and North America, playing at Burning Man as well as esteemed venues like The Brooklyn Mirage, Miami’s Treehouse, The Bow in Buenos Aires, Los Angeles’ Sound Nightclub and Washington DC’s own Flash and Echostage. Today, Enamour’s world is limitless. His ability to effortlessly weave and maneuver across the vibrant spectrum of electronic music both in his original productions and dynamic sets has captivated enthusiastic dance floor movers -- enamoured them, if you will -- from all around the world. No boundaries ahead and with plenty of new releases incoming, Enamour only has further and farther to go from here.

In the era when America's Rust Belt got its name, factory workers labored on a 12-hour day or night shift for two weeks straight. To switch shifts, one group would have to work 24-hours straight and cover the labor gap. This grueling shift became known as the Longturn. Longturn music was founded to give people with day jobs a space to spend their second shift. No bottle service, no passwords, just a dance floor filled with good people and good music.

Longturn Music has been producing house and techno events in Pittsburgh for over 5 years and in that time has gained a loyal following. We throw the most popular house and techno events in the city and create the most content among event promoters in the region. Our events draw tens of thousands of views and hundreds of ticket purchases each month. 59% of our audience is in the 25-34 range, 28% is 35-44.

    Kirby Elliott

Hi, I'm Kirby Elliott. I grew up in a small town called Port Allegany, Pennsylvania. I moved to Pittsburgh after graduating Edinboro with a degree in Economics in 2014. I've worked in finance since then, currently as a risk and compliance analyst at New Edge Capital Group.

I, along with 9 other friends started Longturn Music in 2017 as a space for creators and consumers of house and techno to get together and share the music we enjoy. Over the years some friends moved away, got married, or otherwise got out of the game, and now Longturn Music is an LLC owned by myself and my partner CJ Cooper.

We are looking to grow the company and have been doing so since we took full control of the reins in 2021. Our events are reaching new crowds and continuing to expand in frequency and in terms of our social accounts' reach and engagement. The future looks bright.
