About the event

The Latin American Community of Ottawa-Gatineau  every year we come together to raise awareness of our cultures, cuisine, music, joy, and hospitality. Join us with your family and friends and experience the colorful culture, beyond their enchanting Spanish language.

The festival will feature delicious authentic Latin food, Latin rhythms and traditional music, many dances, salsa performance, children area and much much more

In 1997, the Festival Latinoamericano was born.

Throughout the years, the festival has seen a yearly increase of participation. We presently have united 14 communities and expect to motivate many more.  The Latin American Festival has instilled a desire among Canadians and people from other cultures to join experience and participate in the different artistic Latin American traditions. We are proud to have motivated the second generation of our communities and others to participate and develop in the different artistic areas. 

The annual Latin Parade and Festival showcases the best of the Latin American artistry based in Ottawa. Every year, new float designs and themes, choreographies and theatrical representations are prepared to highlight the individuality of each culture of origin.
