About the event
KUMUN is set to be an annual conference that consists of a simulation of the ever lasting United Nations. The conference is made up of three days and simulates the work of the United Nations. KUMUN has a variety of commissions. Each commission works in one field, those include Territorial Disputes, International Labour Organisation, and Economic and Social Committee (ECOSOC). KUMUN aims to assist high school and middle school students in educating them on how to negotiate and debate on topics.
KUMUN was organised in early 2017 and is set to be initialised in late 2017 or early 2018. The Conference is purely student run, and aims to become a well known conference that both directors and delegates would love to participate in. We consider our goal to be education, and awareness. We believe that KUMUN would provide participants an area filled with rich information to learn from, and develop, and to make them well aware of past, present, and possible future conflicts, and how to solve them in a creative manner. KUMUN strives to make participants better citizens, by not only providing them with the ability to hone their skills, but to make them well informed citizens of our future.

These sponsors will help KUMUN develop into a conference that can be known internationally, and right now its on it's first legs. The conference is set to be made annually, and requires sponsorship assistance to set up the conference (i.e. Rent, Food, and required material needed for a MUN conference).
KUMUN is a non-profit organisation that is purely student run, and is not directly affiliated with any school.
The Kuwait Universal Model United Nations team is a group of indivuals who have founded the organisation, and are working to make the conference realistic and possible. The conference, at it's core, takes tremendous efforts to pull off successfully. This includes creating multiple teams, negotiating with companies, and the hopes for people to participate in the event. The team consists of 4 students, who are running the first annual conference in 2017. The conference is purely student run.
