About the event
The Kentucky Yoga Festival is a unique outdoor yoga experience. Nestled on the Little Barren River, the vision of the Kentucky Yoga Festival is to create a space for connection, adventure, play, relaxation and healing. We co-create an experience of yoga and mindfulness classes, time in nature, music, movement, food, and community that enriches the heart and feeds the soul.
Kentucky Yoga Festival is a locally homegrow, grassroots, organic, green event in its 4th year.

We are dedicated to bringing whole-body wellness opportunities to our Kentucky community from first time yoga students to experienced yogis. Emma SwendsenMy name is Emma Swendsen and I am the event manager for the Kentucky Yoga Festival. I began with KYF as a volunteer in 2019, joined the organizer team in 2020, and have had the honor of co-creating the event in 2021 and 2022. I am a social worker by degree and found event organizing to be a wonderful way to serve my community. The ability to bring together an experience for the whole community that provides space for healing, learning, and growth has been deeply humbling for me. I am a yoga student myself and outside of managing KYF I also serve as secretary to a 501c3 dog rescue.
