K5Kenya 5K Run,

Hurricane, West Virginia, United States Hurricane, West Virginia, United States

  • About the event

The K5Kenya 5K event is being held to send a missionary to Living Hope High School in Kenya, Africa in January 2019.  Living Hope High School has a goal to provide a quality Christian high school education to the poorest and brightest orphans and vulnerable children in the Bungoma Central District of Kenya. As Christians, we are compelled to care for and help others. By putting Jesus’ word into practice, we can give these children HOPE, a bright future, and a chance to witness to their deep faith in Jesus Christ. Their hope is to empower students through spiritual values to be ever conscious of the human rights of all, to break the cycles of poverty and AIDS, to eliminate child abuse and the use of child labor, and to prevent malnutrition and deadly diseases.

    Why should you sponsor?

To get credibility to be known as a giver to such a unique charity.

My name is Whitney Williams.  I live in Hurricane, WV where I attend Forrest Burdette Memorial United Methodist Church.  I am just a Mom of 3 wanting to help make a difference.  I believe that sending someone to Kenya to assit with education and charitabile causes that are a moral and high belief in my life, will assist with making the world just a little bit better.  But.. we can't do it alone!
