About the event

The Rotary Club of Humble is a 501(c)(3) organization in Humble, TX. We are committed to giving back to our community by way of donations to local non-profit organizations, scholarships, supporting inbound and outbound exchange students and in this tournament, also support Project Mammogram which provides screenings and services to qualifying women in the area. 

Rotary is an organization of business and professional leaders who are united worldwide to provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build goodwill and peace in the world. Rotary can provide the opportunity to build friendships: represent your profession and demonstrate how ethical standards are a vital part of your day to day occupation. All of this can add to the meaning of our lives.

The main objective of Rotary is service in the community, in the workplace (vocational service) and throughout the world. This is done by addressing critical issues, such as children at risk; preventable disease; poverty and hunger; safe drinking water; the environment; illiteracy and violence. The Rotary Foundation is the vehicle for these services.

Why should you sponsor?

Our club is often overshadowed by the larger more prominent clubs in the Houston area. But the community we service is just as in need of our help as the large ones. Our annual festival we hold, while successful, brought in less revenue than we'd like so we're adding this second fundraiser in hopes of being our level of commitment to giving for our community up to help more people and entities make a difference and make our community better.

I have been a Rotarian for over 7 years, and in that time have seen students and organizations that I've helped raise money for, be able to do a lot of good in the community. Everything from helping families rebuild, to helping adults with disabilities flourish in the "real world", to providing scholarships to students who have visions of making a difference in their community and around the world. I'm just a small part of the 88 members in our club, but together we all have a common goal of making a difference for everyone in the community.
