About the event

Holpe and Mckinney family reunion is where families come together and celebrate good times together. It is so important to keep our reunions alive. My father always keep it going but 4 years ago he said it will be his last year planning one.  2020 will be 6 year. The elderly keep our family together. We have them every two years and this year 2018 we didn't. I'm part of the young generation and want to keep it going. So I spoke to one of my younger cousins Evette and we want to make it happen. We never had a theme family reunion so we decided to twist it up and make it a theme for 2020. Our theme is  Caribbean Carnival. Family is everything. We have a very large family. Iwant to keep our reunions alive. We are doing fundraisers throughout the year. Any donations will be a blessing. I'm planning early for everything will be perfect. I decided to have it in Hollysprings, Ms because that's where the Holpe and Mckinney all started. I'm excited to take on the responsibility for planning but need some help. With our family size and people will come from all over America I want it to be a time we laugh, dance , eat, play games and enjoy and love each other. Friday July 4 will be our meet and greet and honor our elders and family that pass away. Saturday July 5 will be our reunion. And Sunday July 6 will be church and bus tour of Memphis. I believe it's important for the youth to see where Dr. King was murdered and just how beautiful Memphis is. I want all my family to be able to attend with your help it will it can happen. Please any donations will help out a long way and will be very appreciated.

Why should you sponsor?

My family reunion should be sponsored because family is everything. Family Reunion are so important in so many different ways. It bring us closer and stronger as one. We have a very big family from all over America. I am writing for sponsorship package for the family reunion of the Holpe and Mckinney of Holly Springs, MS. This family reunion was  held  biennially for 34 years. 2013 was our last one. Are family seem to be falling apart. I believe in prayer and  by planning this reunion in 2020 well unite us. Bring us  closer and stronger then ever because we need it. The reunion will run for three days. Activities include meet and greet, games, motivation talk, sports, cookout, church, music and dance. 
The significant of the reunion is  the recognition of the fact that family is the cradle and foundation of sustainable, functional communities and society.  The objective of the reunion is to exchange ideas, create memories, support each other, celebrate achievement and mentor the younger generation to be responsible and productive members of society. This is achieved thru teamwork, effective communication and talent identification. My name is Olympia Coleman- Diawuo. I'm a mother of two amazing kids. I have two dogs. I'm a full time employee for Bose. I live in Montgomery, Il. My cousin is Evette Meeks she has sickle cell and always in and out of the hospital. She work full time as a manager at the Watch Station. We both work at the same mall lol. I enjoy crafting, playing NES, couponing and spending time with my family.
